Umm-al-Qaiwain is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join its team. This position comes with a salary of 900 and we are open to considering an immigrant for the role.

The ideal candidate should possess at least one year of relevant experience. He/she should be able to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent problem solving skills and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Prepare financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheets, cash flow projections, etc.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures in compliance with applicable regulations
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and potential risks or opportunities
• Monitor internal controls and ensure accuracy of accounting information
• Support budgeting processes by providing timely data analysis
• Investigate discrepancies, resolve errors, and recommend corrective action as needed
• Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred but not required
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance field; knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks)
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks appropriately
