Job Description:
The Optometrist is responsible for providing eye care services such as comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, prescribing eyeglasses, diagnosing and treating eye diseases. The Optometrist will take patient histories, perform tests such as visual acuity tests, tonometry tests to measure intraocular pressure, refraction tests to determine eyeglass prescriptions, and ophthalmoscopy tests to examine the retina. The Optometrist will also provide pre- and post-operative care of surgery patients.

Skills & Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in optometry or other related field
• A minimum of two years experience in optometry practice
• Knowledgeable in optical theory including lens design, contact lenses fitting techniques, vision diagnosis/care principles and practices
• Excellent communication skills with customers/patients both verbally and written • Ability to work accurately under pressure
