Librarian – Al-Kuwait, Kuwait

We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about books and learning and has a strong background in organizing library materials and managing library services. The successful candidate will be responsible for cataloging and organizing library materials, assisting patrons in finding resources, and providing educational programs to community members.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of library operations, and be able to work collaboratively with other staff members. A preference will be given to applicants who are English-speaking or have experience working within the Pakistani or African communities.

Responsibilities:
• Cataloging and organizing library materials
• Using library software systems to store and access information
• Assisting patrons in locating resources
• Collaborating with other staff members on special projects
• Providing reference assistance to patrons as needed
• Developing educational programs for community members
• Maintaining records of circulation activity
• Updating shelves with new materials as needed

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or equivalent field of study
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of library operations and services
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

Preference given to applicants who are English-speaking or have experience working within the Pakistani or African communities.
