Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing technical direction and coordination of activities related to the design, development, operation, and maintenance of civil engineering projects. This includes overseeing staff members, contractors, and subcontractors; conducting site inspections; developing plans; coordinating materials supplies; monitoring project progress; ensuring adherence to safety standards; preparing cost estimates; resolving any issues that may arise during the course of the project; and writing reports. Additionally, the Civil Engineer will review building plans and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes as well as review survey results, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, local zoning regulations as well as other data to plan projects.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in civil engineering or related field. Minimal work experience is expected. We also require excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment is also essential for this role. A valid driver's license would be considered an asset but is not required.
