Job Responsibilities
• Provide medical support services to physicians and other healthcare professionals in the course of their work
• Perform physical assessments on patients as requested by doctors
• Diagnose minor illnesses, injuries and infections
• Prescribe medications under the direction of physicians
• Order laboratory tests or imaging tests as required by physicians
• Provide patient education on preventive health care measures and treatments
• Review patient history, medications and allergies prior to treatment

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant from an accredited college or university • At least three years of experience working as a PA in a clinical setting • Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) • Knowledgeable about medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathology and medical procedures • Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and patients
