Candidates must be familiar with local building codes and regulations so that they can ensure their work meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints or plans in order to understand the specifications of the project; they will also need to measure, cut, and shape bricks or stones in accordance with those specifications while ensuring accuracy and precision. The Mason will also need to oversee any assistants or helpers on site while ensuring that all tools, materials, and equipment are properly used and maintained.
