Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The Optometrist will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and treating eye diseases, and providing advice to patients on the use of contact lenses or eyeglasses. This role requires excellent communication skills and a knowledge of all aspects of optometry.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive eye examinations including visual acuity tests, refraction tests, color vision tests, depth perception tests, ocular motility tests, and corneal topography
• Diagnose ocular diseases including glaucoma, cataracts, retinal detachment, macular degeneration and other conditions
• Interpret results of diagnostic tests to diagnose ocular disorders
• Provide advice on vision correction methods such as eyeglasses or contact lenses
• Monitor the progress of both acute and chronic ocular conditions over time
• Educate patients on proper eye care such as how to clean their contact lenses or how to use eye drops correctly
• Provide pre-operative assessments prior to laser refractive surgery or cataract surgery
• Maintain accurate records of patient visits in electronic health records (EHR) system
• Refer patients to other medical specialists as required

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Optometry from an accredited institution
• At least two years of experience working as an Optometrist in a clinical setting
• Current registration with the UAE Medical Council with valid license to practice optometry
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of optometry including visual acuity testing, refraction testing, ocular motility testing, corneal topography etc.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical concepts clearly
• Ability to build rapport with patients quickly
