Job Description:

The Optometrist will be responsible for examining patients’ eyes, diagnosing vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses and providing other related treatments. Specific duties may include taking medical histories, performing eye exams, measuring patients’ visions, prescribing corrective lenses or contact lenses, teaching proper contact lens care techniques and recommending vision therapy. The Optometrist should also be knowledgeable of the latest developments in the field of optometry and be able to use state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat vision problems.

Demands for the Candidate:

The ideal candidate must possess an Optometry degree from an accredited university or college; must have at least 5 years of experience as an Optometrist; strong communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; proficient computer skills; must possess a valid state license as an Optometrist; must demonstrate a commitment to providing quality patient care; must maintain excellent patient records.
