Job Summary

We are looking for a Sommelier to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Dubai. As a Sommelier, you will be responsible for overseeing the wine selection and service of our guests. You will be expected to have excellent knowledge of different wines and grape varieties and advise guests on wine selections that will best complement their meals. A salary of 1600 is offered for this position. We are willing to consider an immigrant for this role.

Job Responsibilities
-Develop wine lists that meet the standards of the restaurant
-Advise customers on the best wines to pair with their meals
-Maintain knowledge of local, national, and international wines
-Ensure proper storage and rotation of wine in stock
-Keep up to date with trends in the industry
-Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure food & wine pairings are accurate
-Train wait staff on how to properly serve wines in accordance with restaurant standards
-Assist customers with ordering, decanting, pouring, and serving wines as needed

Requirements
-Minimum 2 years experience as a sommelier or similar role (willing to consider candidates without experience)
-Extensive knowledge of different types of wines & grape varieties
-Strong customer service skills
-Excellent communication skills
