Job Title: Carpenter
Location: Doha, Qatar
Salary: 1300 QAR per month
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience as a carpenter or in a related field
• Proven skill in using various woodworking tools such as saws, drills and routers
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings accurately
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (23kg) comfortably
• Flexible and willing to work long hours if needed
• A valid driving license is preferable but not essential. Foreigners welcome.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
• Construct building frameworks including walls, floor joists, and doorframes.
• Install structures or fixtures such as windowsills, doorframes, cabinets, or stairs.
• Shape or cut materials according to measurements.
• Assemble cabinets or furniture pieces prior to installation.
• Nail down floor coverings such as linoleum onto subfloors using a power nailer or hammer.
Other Details: • Work hours 40 hours per week + possible overtime • Flexible working hours during weekends/holidays if necessary • Must have own safety equipment (gloves etc.) • Willingness to travel when required
