Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Optometrist to join our team in Al-Kuwait. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for conducting eye exams, diagnosing vision problems, and providing advice on corrective lenses. In addition to providing quality eye care services, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and helping patients select frames and contacts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive eye exams, including visual acuity tests, refraction assessments, and glaucoma screenings.
• Develop treatment plans for eye diseases and vision disorders based on diagnoses.
• Provide advice on contact lenses and eyeglasses frames.
• Fit contact lenses accurately according to prescriptions and provide instructions on lens insertion and removal.
• Monitor patient progress over time to ensure that the prescribed treatments are effective.
• Keep detailed records of patient visits in medical software systems.
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing optometry practice in Al-Kuwait.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in optometry from a recognized institution.
• Licensed optometrist in Al-Kuwait with at least 3 years of experience working as an optometrist or ophthalmologist technician.
• Expertise in refraction techniques, contact lens fitting procedures, visual acuity tests, glaucoma screenings, etc.
• Proficiency with medical software systems related to patient records management. • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals such as ophthalmologists or nurses. • Fluency in English is preferred but not required (for foreigners).
