Job Responsibilities
• Paint surfaces according to instructions and in accordance with safety regulations
• Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint or wallpaper, filling cracks and holes, sanding, etc.
• Mix colors and apply primers or sealers to prepare the surface for painting
• Maintain tools and materials in proper condition
• Remove old paint or wallpaper from walls
• Work on ladders or scaffolding as needed
• Clean up job sites when finished painting

Skills & Experience Required
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
• Previous experience as a painter is required
• Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, sealers etc. is required
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to read instructions accurately is essential
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects
