Job Summary:

We are looking for an Optometrist to join our team in Al-Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for examining eyes, diagnosing vision problems, and providing treatment. You will also be responsible for fitting and dispensing eyeglasses or contact lenses as well as educating patients on proper care of their vision products. We offer a competitive salary of 1300 and are ready to consider immigrants to fill this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As an Optometrist, your main duties will include performing eye examinations, determining patient’s eyeglass or contact lenses needs, conducting tests for visual acuity and depth perception; prescribing corrective lenses or medications as needed; providing education on proper eye care; diagnosing ocular diseases such as glaucoma; recognizing signs of other health problems such as diabetes; keeping accurate records of patient’s medical history and treatments; referring patients to ophthalmologists when required; and recommending lifestyle changes such as diet modifications when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be considered for this role you must possess a Doctorate in Optometry from an accredited university along with valid certification from the American Board of Optometry or equivalent credentials from the country of origin. Applicants should also have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain diagnosis in a clear manner to patients. You must have knowledge of current optometric technology such as retinal imaging systems, refractors, lensometers etc., proficiency with MS Office Suite, strong clinical assessment skills with attention to detail. At least two years experience in the field is preferred but not mandatory.
