We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working in a library or similar setting, and be comfortable using a variety of technology. We prefer that candidates have some knowledge of Arabic language and culture as well. We will provide visa sponsorship and accommodation for the right candidate. Preference will be given to Indian and African applicants who don’t require fluency in English, as well as female applicants. This is a part-time position with flexible hours.

Responsibilities include:
• Organizing library materials such as books, magazines, newspapers, films, audio recordings, and other materials
• Assisting patrons with finding information in both print and digital formats
• Assisting patrons with locating materials within the library
• Checking out materials to patrons using the library's computer system
• Updating library records using the library's computer system
• Processing new materials including cataloging items into the library's computer system
• Supervising volunteers or student assistants
• Recommending books and other materials to patrons
• Creating displays of new or special collections of materials
• Helping patrons use online resources such as e-books, databases, or software programs.
