Librarian vacancy in Sharjah UAE

Librarian – Sharjah, UAE (Egyptian Preferred)
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced librarian to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. The successful candidate must have at least three years of experience in library science or a related field. We are particularly interested in candidates who are Egyptian nationals or have the right to work in the UAE.

The primary responsibility of the librarian will be to manage our library, including cataloguing books, magazines and other media, creating and maintaining archives, supervising staff and ensuring that all resources are properly maintained. The librarian will also be responsible for developing and implementing library policies and procedures and providing guidance to staff on best practice techniques for managing resources.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills as they will be required to interact with patrons, staff, vendors and other stakeholders on a daily basis. They should also possess strong organizational skills in order to effectively manage our library resources. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated with a passion for learning and knowledge sharing.
Salary is commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position.
