Optometrist Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Optometrist to join our team in Al-Kuwait. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including diagnosing vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses and treatments, and educating patients on eye health. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a team, and be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care. An attractive salary of 1600 is offered for this position. We are open to considering applicants with immigrant status.

Job Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ eyes using advanced diagnostic equipment such as retinoscopes, phoropters and visual acuity charts to diagnose vision problems
• Prescribe corrective lenses such as eyeglasses or contact lenses
• Educate patients on eye health maintenance
• Monitor eyeglass prescriptions and contact lens fittings to ensure proper fit
• Refer patients to other healthcare professionals when necessary
• Keep accurate patient records


Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of 1 year optometry experience or relevant certification/qualification
• Knowledge of ophthalmology and optometry standards and procedures
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment such as retinoscopes, phoropters and visual acuity charts
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service mindset
