Position Title: Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team in Al-Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical assistance to the medical staff. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments, taking vitals, preparing patients for exams and tests, and maintaining patient records. In addition, you will be required to provide support to the front office staff regarding administrative duties such as filing and billing.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of computer software programs used in a medical office setting (i.e., EHRs).
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals in order to provide quality patient care.
• Must be willing to consider an immigrant applicant for this position
Responsibilities:
• Maintain patient records by filing documents accurately according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Schedule appointments for patients and ensure that all paperwork is completed prior to appointment time.
• Prepare exam rooms prior to patient visits including stocking supplies, cleaning room surfaces, etc.
• Take vital signs such as height, weight, blood pressure readings and record results accurately on patient charts or other documents as needed.
• Greet patients upon arrival at the office or clinic using proper etiquette and ensuring their comfort during their visit or procedure.
• Assist physicians with clinical procedures such as physical examinations or treatments as needed or requested by the physician staff members.
• Answer incoming phone calls politely and transfer them to the appropriate person when needed; take accurate messages when necessary.
