Second Mate - El-Fujairah, UAE (Preference for Indian Nationals with English Proficiency)


We are seeking a Second Mate to join our team at a prestigious shipping company in El-Fujairah, UAE. This position will be responsible for assisting the Captain and other senior officers on board our vessels. The successful candidate will need to have experience in navigation and safety operations, and a strong understanding of coastal navigation techniques. Preference will be given to applicants who are Indian nationals and who possess excellent English language proficiency.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out duties including but not limited to:
• Assisting the Captain with all navigational duties
• Ensuring safety regulations are strictly followed by all crew members
• Collaborating with the rest of the crew to ensure the efficient operation of the vessel
• Completing logbooks, charts, and other paperwork related to navigation
• Planning coastal trips and monitoring progress during voyage
• Adhering to international maritime regulations at all times.

Applicants must possess a valid Second Mate certificate, as well as extensive knowledge of navigation software and shipboard operations. A strong understanding of meteorology is also required in order to complete navigational tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills are essential in order to effectively coordinate with other personnel onboard.
