Librarian for Indians in Sharjah, UAE (No English Required)

We are seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. This is a contract position with free visa and ticket provided.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cataloging and organizing library materials, maintaining the library's collections, and helping patrons locate information. The ideal candidate will be an Indian national with no English language requirement.

Responsibilities:
• Catalog and organize library materials such as books, periodicals, videos, audio recordings and electronic media
• Maintain the library's collections by replacing outdated or damaged items; ordering new materials; tracking circulation
• Respond to patron inquiries regarding library services
• Assist patrons in locating information and checking out materials
• Create displays of new or featured materials
• Conduct orientation sessions for new patrons
• Develop reference resources such as databases and indexes
• Develop reader advisory services for patrons
• Prepare reports on circulation trends or other topics as requested by management.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field • Previous library experience preferred but not required • Familiarity with computers and software programs such as word processing, database management systems, spreadsheets etc. • Proven excellent customer service skills
