Cashier (Africans Preferred) – Doha, Qatar

We are seeking an experienced Cashier to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in the role and should be from Africa, although this is not a strict requirement. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer payments in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers upon arrival and provide excellent customer service
- Accept payments from customers in cash, credit card or by cheque
- Count money received and verify accuracy of customer transactions
- Issue receipts, refunds or change due to customers
- Balance the cash register at the end of each shift
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Follow all relevant safety regulations when handling cash or credit cards
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Good numeracy skills with the ability to make accurate calculations quickly
- Good understanding of English language (preferred but not required)
- Stamina to stand for extended periods
