Contract Librarian (UAE, Dubai)

We are looking for a Contract Librarian to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is an ideal role for a candidate of Indian nationality who does not require English language skills. We offer visa sponsorship and welcome applications from freshers.

As a Contract Librarian, your primary duties will include managing our library’s collection of books and other documents, as well as providing assistance to library patrons. You will be responsible for cataloguing materials according to established standards; conducting research for library patrons; organizing and participating in library events; and helping patrons locate resources they need. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the library’s databases, computer systems, and online catalogues; ensuring adherence to copyright regulations; and keeping up-to-date on changes in the library field.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and have a keen eye for detail. They must also be knowledgeable about current trends in the library field as well as emerging technology that may affect libraries. Additionally, they should have strong communication skills and be able to interact effectively with patrons of all ages.
