Librarian - Indian Nationality Preferred - English Speaking - Dubai, UAE

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate should have extensive experience as a librarian and be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. This is a contract position with visa sponsorship.

The primary responsibility of the Librarian will be to provide library services to the public. This includes selecting, cataloging, and organizing library materials; helping patrons locate materials; providing reference services; preparing reports; and assisting with library activities. The successful candidate should be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Computer literacy is also essential for this position.

Additionally, the selected candidate must have experience working with library software programs such as LibraryThing or Koha. They must also be familiar with library regulations and procedures such as copyright laws and cataloguing standards. The ideal candidate should also possess excellent customer service skills and excellent communication skills in order to answer patron questions in person or over the phone or via email in a professional manner.
