The Information Technology and Data Analytics (IT&DA) Organization is seeking a high performing versatile Mid-LevelProgrammer Analyst to join the Weapons Information Technology (IT) team. This organization supports and provides comprehensive software solutions to the BDS business unit. Responsibilities include development and integration for a variety of software applications supporting the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) and Harpoon Block II manufacturing teams.
The Weapons IT Team is responsible for ensuring the Cruise Missile Systems and Direct Attack programs at the Saint Charles Missouri site have the software development support they need to execute successfully on their contracts. Team members work closely with the business to modify existing code as well as develop new features and applications. This close relationship allows us to bypass hurdles and restrictions to best meet the business needs.
A qualified applicant will be able to work independently as a developer and function effectively in a complex and varied domain. We support everything from label printing to digital dashboards to shop floor processes and tools.
Position Responsibilities:
Leading and performing the design program test implementation and documentation of complex computing applications
Leading analysis of end user processes to define application requirements writing and compiling complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications
Identifying and resolving complex programming or application architecture problems and recommending improvements.
Communicating effectively are needed both verbally and written to interact with peers and customers
Working well with others on a team as well as independently
Collaborating within a diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers
Fostering a positive attitude being self-motivated able to work in a fast-paced demanding environment and able to adapt to changing priorities
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teamâs discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience developing backend applications in Java
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with JavaScript JQuery and/or Spring Framework
Experience with Agile
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 5 or more yearsâ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor Master etc.) preferred but not required.
