Position Overview:
Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS)’s Systems Engineering organization seeks a Process Engineer to evaluate contractual requirements and engineering processes related to product design definition data generate technical data package (TDP) deliverables define and execute processes for Item Unique Identification (IUID) and lead continuous process and tool/system improvement initiatives in support of the Air Dominance division - St. Louis programs.
Position Responsibilities:
Assess and contribute to the development of product definition processes and design practices
Interpret and communicate requirements and work scope for technical data delivery
Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) system and other resources to generate Technical Data Packages (TDP) in support of contract requirements
Define and lead execution of processes for Item Unique Identification (IUID)
Lead pursuit of process and tool/system improvement initiatives
Interface across internal and external organizations as appropriate
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in St. Louis MO. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
1+ years of experience in Product Data Management (PDM) Systems or related disciplines at both the user level and working directly with engineering data housed within the PDM
1+ years of experience in product design activities and/or product lifecycle management
Experience working with Customers and Suppliers
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Item Unique Identification (IUID)
Lean facilitation certification
Typical Education & Experience:
Associate (level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard
Experienced (Level 3): ducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard
Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Associate - Level 2): $73100 - $98900 Summary pay range (Experienced - Level 3): $88400 - $119600. Summary pay range (Senior - Level 4): $108800 - $147200
