As a result of our continued success we currently have permanent opportunities for trade qualified Spray Painters to join our advanced manufacturing site located in Port Melbourne on a full-time permanent basis. Â Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for Sealant application product preparation and painting of various parts and products within the paint shop.Our successful team members will enjoy a range of benefits and will be the future of our industry leading organization.

Understanding the requirements of quality instructions and detailed drawingsCompliance with BAA and customer quality assurance standards and requirementsComply with surface finish process specifications and work order specificationsOperate and monitor spray booths & oven specificationsPreparation and painting of final assembled and detailed partsUse of both hand and pneumatic paint process toolsComplete preparation processes for painting of composite productsUndertake mixing processes and paint application in a production environmentMaintain housekeeping and compliance requirementsParticipate in Lean programs by supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the businessParticipate in health and safety culture and uphold safety & environmental standardsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Australian recognized Trade qualification as a Spray Painter is essentialCompletion of a trade Apprenticeship backed with relevant experience working as a Spray PainterExperience in spray painting onto various substrate materials in a high-quality environmentFlexibility to work across day afternoon and night shiftAbility to read and interpret drawings and work instructions as per specificationsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsBasic use of computer systemsAble to exercise independent judgmentCapable of working under indirect supervisionGeneral knowledge of safety procedures and strong advocate of EH&SPlease note that in order to be considered candidates will need to have full unrestricted working rights in Australia.
Additional Information:This is an EBA position and classified as an Aerospace Tradesperson 1.
