Your Opportunity as the Senior Technologist Coffee Research & Development â Product Development
In this role you will play a critical role on the coffee product development team supporting new and optimized formula development and technical execution for our portfolio of coffee brands including Folgers Dunkin At Home and Café Bustelo. You will lead the development and execute formula design prototyping and culinary exploration for roast and ground coffee applications. Expectations for this role will span strong written documentation of experimental results building strong relationships with a network of ingredient suppliers and displaying a strong collaborative and adaptable mindset that is willing to sharpen agility in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will:
As a coffee product developer create and execute new coffee formulations on roast and ground coffee including K-cups and espresso capsule formats.Generate and design experimental plans test plans and sample testing requests for track 1 and 2 initiatives.Leverage senior developers on Product Development team for mentorship in formula design.Serve as one of the formulators for the Dunkin At Home and Folgers 1850 new and optimized roast and ground products.Independently perform data analysis on ingredients and finished product to identify factors affecting product performance. Communicate results both orally and written to supervisor key project members and cross-functional resourcing.Partner with Manager to work across disciplines functions and with outside ingredient suppliers.Key resource on the premium design to value cost optimization efforts.Partner with team lab technicians to prepare coffee samples for screening and preparing samples shipments externally.Adhere to using CISPRO inventory tracking system for coffee raw materials and flavor chemical raw materials.Collaborate and leverage relationships within R&D and cross functional teams to achieve project goals foster a continuous improvement mindset participate in ID&E initiatives.Participate in a Product Development cupper qualification program to receive training as an internal qualified cupper within Coffee R&D focusing on premium coffee formulation.Document experimental plans and analysis in electronic lab notebook software.Lead the Quality Key Element Food Safety plan team assuming responsibilities for CoffeeInvolvement and resource responsibility in the One Cup Technical Platform Growth for Coffee Research and Development.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree of Science Technology or Engineering (required)Display discernable taste acuity for flavorMust be willing to taste black coffee sweet & creamy beverages and other beverages with potential dairy tree nut peanut soy egg and gluten allergensStrong organizational and critical thinking skillsEffective presentation verbal and written communication skillsProficient in establishing and adhering to proceduresAbility to work under minimal supervision within guidelines and processesStrong time management skillsAbility to work a hybrid working schedule with 3-4 days per week in office based on Company Core Weeks and business needsThis role may travel up to 15%
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
2+ years of experience in a Product Development/ingredient applications/developerPrevious experience working in a laboratory environment and familiarity of GLP/GMP conditionsJMP statistical analysis software familiarityExperience with HAACPCISPRO and ELN in Biovia software
