Engineering Manager
Your Opportunity as the Engineering Manager
Active member of the Senior Plant Leadership Team and is responsible and accountable for leading the Orrville plant engineering organization plant capital management processes initiative & project management plant business continuity plan (BCP) property building and facilities ownership and provide technical safety environmental and sustainability leadership.
Location: Orrville OH
Work Arrangements: 100% onsite
In this role you will:
Work jointly with HR and the Consumer Division Engineering team to establish staffing and resource needsResponsible for coaching and development of the plant engineering team and ongoing performance managementOwn and manage plant capital budget track capital spending against budget and manage accordingly and provide fiscal year forecasted capital expense cash flowDevelop the plant 5-Year Capital Plan work includes establishment maintenance forecasting and reporting of plant capital needs work with finance operations and Consumer TSO to ensure plans align with the plant and Consumer Division MasterplansLead the Initiative Management (IM) Pillar for the plant including implementation of IM tools and coaching/development of plant resources support efforts in design and improvement of corporate project managementEnsure effective and efficient execution of projects across the plant manage project capital and expense spending ensure proper purchasing standards are followed during the execution of equipment specifications and requisitions and analyze spend trends and use data to improve systemsEnsure successful project start-ups using IM tools including development of equipment standards & specifications Factory Acceptance Testing (FTA) protocol and commissioning protocolParticipate in and provide technical feedback for new initiatives and product development partner with R&D in new product development to ensure successful engineering and equipment selection to deliver required process transformationsMaintain property records for site including titles deeds and surveys manage document preparations for permits and permit records develop and maintain facilities master plans for maintenance (structural integrity) and improvements including common areas roofs HVAC plumbing sewers floors etc. manage interface with Company Risk Management Manager and Insurance Provider (currently FM Global)Manage the facilities department and plant systems team at the plant. Ensure proper maintenance of all facilities and utilities equipment including the use of appropriate Operations Excellence standards and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirementsOwns the electrical distribution system and wastewater system health and complianceOwn lead and develop the plant BCP to address personnel property facility utility and equipment needs in the event of a business interruptionOwns technical safety programs (Process Combustible Dust Pressure Vessel Fire and Thermal & Electrical) ensure all projects meet tech safety and environmental requirements through coordination with and audits by the Plant HS&E Leader. Coaches and develops the owners of said technical safety programs.Work with Sustainability Leaders on efforts to meet sustainability goals including energy water and waste reduction
Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager that support the continuous improvement efforts of the plant in the areas of Safety Quality Productivity Cost Delivery Organization and Sustainability.

Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering7 years of engineering experience5 years of manufacturing experienceDemonstrated capability in leading large and complex teamsStrategic leadership experienceCapital project management experiencePeople management experienceProfit and Loss or Cost Center experienceAbility to work a flexible work scheduleExperience in one or more of the following technologies: process/manufacturing equipment packaging equipment process controls electrical and/or controls engineering facilities engineering and/or new plant construction and start-up
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Food or Beverage industry experience strongly preferredDemonstrated experience in building a high-performance work culture and systemsKeen eye for detail and the ability to interface across disciplines and at all levels
