African Accountant


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant from Africa to join our finance team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent knowledge of international accounting standards and laws.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions, including accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, and payroll
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts
- Monitor cash flow and manage budget variances
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist with annual audits and tax filings
- Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and laws

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
- CPA or ACCA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant in a reputable organization
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS) and laws (UAE VAT)
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluent English speaker required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
