Librarian for Women's Library in Sharjah, UAE


We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Librarian to manage our Women's Library in Sharjah, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library's collection, providing research assistance to users, and promoting the library's resources to the community.

Responsibilities:
- Catalogue new materials and maintain accurate records of the library's collection
- Assist users with research inquiries and provide recommendations for relevant resources
- Plan and implement educational programs and events to promote the library's services
- Develop partnerships with local organizations to enhance the library's collection and services
- Train and supervise library staff members on proper procedures for managing materials and assisting users
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in technology for efficient library management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Librarian in a similar setting
- Familiarity with biometric passports preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, particularly when working with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required
