English-Speaking Contract Librarian

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our library team in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As an English-speaking contract librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our library's collection, assisting patrons with research and information needs, and providing excellent customer service. This is a contract position, ideal for someone looking for a short-term opportunity in the field of librarianship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection, including cataloging books, journals, and other materials.
- Assist patrons with research and information needs by conducting database searches, recommending resources, and providing guidance on how to access materials.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries in person, over the phone or via email.
- Plan and implement library programs and events to promote literacy and engage the community.
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new services and improve existing ones.
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship through professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Previous experience working as a librarian is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
- Flexibility to work on a contract basis without accommodation.
