Junior Librarian - Abu Dhabi, UAE


We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Librarian to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional looking to kick-start their career in the library field.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with cataloging and classifying materials according to established systems
- Shelving and organizing books, periodicals, and other materials in a timely manner
- Responding to patron inquiries and providing excellent customer service
- Assisting with collection development by recommending new materials for acquisition
- Participating in planning and organizing library events and programs
- Maintaining library equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition
- Keeping accurate records of library usage and statistics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred (candidates currently pursuing their degree will also be considered)
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with library software systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a library setting or related field
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in library services
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
