Librarian - Women's Section (Egyptian Nationals)


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian for our Women's Section at our library in Dubai, UAE. This role is specifically open to Egyptian nationals and no English language proficiency is required.

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the collection, cataloguing materials, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and providing excellent customer service to all library visitors. In this role, you will also play a key role in promoting the library's resources and services to the community.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field, along with previous experience working in a library environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Additionally, candidates must be fluent in Arabic and have knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection of books and other materials, including cataloguing and shelving
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service to all library visitors
- Promote the library's resources and services to the community
- Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics
- Create displays and programming to engage library patrons
- Assist with budgeting for new acquisitions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library environment preferred
- Fluent in Arabic (both written and spoken)
- Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
