Librarian (English-Speaking)


We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for providing access to information and resources for our diverse community of English-speaking patrons. This is a full-time position that offers competitive salary and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing materials in the library, including books, reference materials, periodicals, and digital resources.
- Provide support for library programs and events, such as storytime sessions and book clubs.
- Maintain the organization and shelving of library materials to ensure easy access for patrons.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations to promote library services.
- Assist with collection development by selecting new materials to add to the library's collection.
- Handle circulation transactions, including checking out materials to patrons and collecting fees for overdue items.
- Provide guidance and assistance to patrons in using computers and other technology resources available in the library.
- Create displays and exhibits to highlight various resources available in the library.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
- Previous experience working as a Librarian preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with library systems, databases, and technology tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
