Accountant (Contract)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. This is a contract position with visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management and external parties
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations regarding taxation, reporting, and record keeping
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for cost reduction or revenue enhancement
- Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow management
- Assist with budgeting process and monitor variances
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using accounting software
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or concerns
- Provide support during audits or tax filings

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of UAE accounting laws and regulations
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Visa sponsorship available for Indian nationals preferred
