Second Mate - Maritime Position in El-Fujairah, UAE
We are currently seeking a qualified Second Mate to join our maritime team in El-Fujairah, UAE. As a Second Mate, you will assist the Captain and Chief Officer in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain and Chief Officer in navigating and maneuvering the vessel
- Oversee cargo operations, including loading and unloading
- Maintain safety and security of the vessel and all crew members
- Keep accurate records of all activities, including navigational data, weather conditions, and crew hours worked
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all crew members are trained on emergency procedures
- Adhere to all international maritime laws and regulations

Requirements:
- Valid Second Mate license issued by an accredited maritime authority
- At least 2 years of experience as a Second Mate on similar vessels
- Strong knowledge of navigational systems and equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English proficiency is preferred but not required)
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
