Librarian vacancy in Al-Kuwait Kuwait

English-Speaking Librarian (Contract)
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Librarian to join our team in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As an English-speaking Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and promoting literacy and lifelong learning. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library collection by selecting, acquiring, cataloging, and maintaining materials.
- Develop and maintain a system for organizing and retrieving library materials.
- Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and locating resources.
- Promote reading and literacy through programs and activities for all age groups.
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs through the use of library resources.
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions, including circulation statistics.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in librarianship and technology in order to improve services.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Librarian.
- Fluency in English (preferably native or near-native level).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of library management systems and technology tools used in libraries.
