Contract Librarian (Indian Nationals)

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals for the position of Contract Librarian at our library in Dubai, UAE. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for providing library services to our patrons and maintaining the library collection. This is a contract position open to Indian nationals who do not require fluency in English.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cataloguing and classifying materials according to standard library practices
- Assisting patrons with reference and research questions
- Managing circulation of materials and monitoring overdue items
- Conducting information literacy sessions for students and faculty
- Maintaining the physical organization of the library collection
- Collaborating with other librarians to plan and implement library programs and events

Qualifications:
- Indian nationality preferred
- No previous experience required
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic cataloguing principles
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with library management systems is a plus
