Second Mate

We are seeking a Second Mate to join our team in El-Fujairah, UAE. As a Second Mate, you will be responsible for assisting the Captain in the navigation and operation of the vessel. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Captain with navigation and operation of the vessel
- Supervise and train crew members
- Maintain accurate records of the ship's activities, including cargo and passenger information
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust course as needed
- Perform safety checks and drills regularly to ensure compliance with regulations
- Oversee loading and unloading of cargo
- Communicate effectively with other crew members and port authorities

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Second Mate or similar role
- Valid certifications for sea travel (STCW)
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness for duties such as lifting heavy objects and climbing ladders
- Accommodation will be provided
