Housekeeping Manager for English-speaking Indians in Umm-Said, Qatar
Our company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee our housekeeping staff in Umm-Said, Qatar. As a preferred candidate, you should be fluent in English and have experience managing a team of housekeepers. Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping team, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas according to company standards
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate with purchasing department for timely replenishment
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards are met and address any issues or concerns promptly
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain high levels of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Train staff on proper handling of hazardous materials according to safety guidelines
- Monitor budget for the housekeeping department and make necessary adjustments to meet financial targets
Requirements:
- Indian national with excellent spoken English skills
- Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures as well as health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests from different backgrounds
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends as per business needs
