Librarian - Information Management Specialist
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Information Management Specialist to join our team at a library in Al-Kuwait, Kuwait. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing various types of information, including books, journals, digital resources, and other materials. This position requires excellent communication skills as you will be interacting with patrons to assist with their research needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of library systems and procedures, as well as experience in cataloging and classification systems.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize physical and digital collections according to established library standards
- Assist patrons in locating materials and conducting research
- Develop and maintain an efficient cataloging system for easy access to resources
- Provide guidance on the proper use of library resources for optimal results
- Monitor and maintain the condition of library materials
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement programs and events
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the field of information management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Proficiency in using library systems, cataloging software, and databases
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of different classification systems (Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings when needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Familiarity with Arabic language
- Biometric passport for easy travel between countries
