Librarian - English Speaking (Abu Dhabi, UAE)



We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team at a prestigious library in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive library collection that meets the needs of our diverse community.
- Organize and classify materials according to the appropriate library classification system.
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries.
- Develop and implement library programs for all age groups.
- Train new staff members on library procedures and policies.
- Keep accurate records of library transactions, including loans, returns, and overdue materials.
- Maintain the physical appearance of the library by shelving books, arranging displays, and performing general upkeep tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in library technology and make recommendations for implementing new systems or tools.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of current trends in libraries, including digital resources and online databases.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Familiarity with Arabic language is a plus.
