Housekeeping Manager for Indian Nationals in Umm-Said, Qatar


We are seeking a highly experienced and organized Housekeeping Manager to oversee the housekeeping operations for our hotel in Umm-Said, Qatar. This is an excellent opportunity for Indian nationals looking to work abroad and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

As the Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of housekeeping staff and ensuring that all rooms and public areas are kept clean and well-maintained. Your main duties will include creating cleaning schedules, ordering necessary supplies, training new staff, and monitoring the performance of your team.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position. You must also have excellent communication skills and be able to lead and motivate a diverse team. Previous experience working in the Middle East or with Indian staff is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure all rooms and public areas are cleaned on time
- Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques and hotel standards
- Monitor the performance of housekeeping staff and provide feedback when necessary
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are being met
- Order necessary supplies such as cleaning products, linens, and toiletries
- Manage the department budget and ensure expenses are kept within budget limits
- Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Handle guest complaints or concerns related to housekeeping services
- Work closely with other departments such as front desk, maintenance, and laundry to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar role
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Proven experience in creating cleaning schedules and managing budgets
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and hotel standards
- Must be physically fit and able to perform housekeeping duties when necessary
- Familiarity with computer software such as MS Office and hotel management systems
