2024 Management Development Program (MDP) Trainee - Engineering
***This job will be situated onsite at select hotel properties throughout the US***
We are seeking individuals who want to accelerate their careers in hotel management as part of the US Management Development Program (MDP). During the program MDP Trainees will have the opportunity to gain hands-on hospitality experience leadership development and exposure by working within Hiltons managed portfolio of hotels to help jump-start a career at Hilton.
This full-time paid training program begins in August 2024 and offers a great entry-level management salary. Upon successful completion of the program MDP graduates will be invited to apply for available job placement opportunities across Hilton.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
The Management Development Program (MDP) is a comprehensive nine-month development program. Our goal with the program is to prepare you for first time manager roles and build a rewarding career in hospitality within a variety of property locations across the United States.
As part of MDP Trainees will participate in formal leadership development programming in partnership with Harvard designed to develop leadership capabilities in rising hotel leaders. MDP Trainees will also be assigned self-led learning courses through LinkedIn Learning and participate in webinars and mentorship opportunities to support them throughout the program journey.
What your day-to-day will be like:
- Spend the first 3 months of your program participating in a general hotel rotation through all areas and departments to gain a full understanding of our business.
- The proceeding 6 months will then focus on a specific area of specialization.
- Specialization discipline choices may include: Catering & Events Culinary Engineering Finance Food & Beverage Front Office Housekeeping Marketing Revenue and Sales.
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Willing and able to relocate within the US
- Can work in the US without employment sponsorship
- Fluently speaks reads and writes English
It would be useful if you have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Graduating with a two or four-year institution by Spring 2024 or equivalent work experience
- Held a leadership role in your community or engaged with a student run organization.
- Two (2) years of customer service experience (e.g. Server babysitting front desk volunteer coaching)
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.

The hourly rate for this role is $24 - $32 and is determined based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
