Senior Vendor Manager, Global Retail Imports
DESCRIPTION
The International Expansions team is seeking a Senior Vendor Manager to help work with our top vendors around the world to increase direct imports into the Middle East region. You will help set the strategy and drive execution of the imports program in the Middle East by liaising with category teams to develop inventory management plans. You will have end to end business ownership of the import supply chain processes from manufacturer to the availability in our Fulfillment Centers. You will work to lay the groundwork for vendors to work with Amazon at a coordinated global level.
The position requires an individual who can work autonomously in a fast paced ambiguous environment. To succeed in this role you need to enjoy building partnerships with vendors around the world. Additionally since this position involves aligning with peers and senior leaders you will need strong stakeholder management capabilities and ownership with great bias for action.

Key job responsibilities
ā¢ Educate vendors on new country opportunities.
ā¢ Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors to support the joint import business.
ā¢ Develop and improve the import business to support country cost savings and new selection.
ā¢ Support the integration of new vendors into the Amazon supply chain product compliance and merchandising processes.
ā¢ Liaise with local Vendor Managers to understand selection needs and standard contractual terms.
ā¢ Work with key stakeholders around the world to maintain alignment.
ā¢ Contribute to the development of best practices and contract standards.
ā¢ Support category teams to monitor analyze and own key performance indicators such as vendor import share out of stock rate vendor operational metrics marketing investments.
ā¢ Work with vendors and Amazon operations to ensure a reliable operational and cost effective flow of goods from ordering to receive.
ā¢ Work with internal teams to understand the systems and variables that affect purchasing and vendor management decisions.
ā¢ Lead projects and regular business improvement initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of with Excel experience
- 7+ years of account management project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
