Chemical Engineer - Process Optimization Specialist (Contract)


We are currently seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer with experience in process optimization to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in the vibrant city of Ar-Ruwais, Qatar and offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to excel in their career.

As a Chemical Engineer - Process Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve process efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that align with company goals.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes, identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize them
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and quality assurance to ensure smooth implementation of process improvements
- Utilize data analysis tools to gather and analyze data from various sources to identify patterns and trends
- Develop models and simulations to test potential process improvements
- Monitor process performance metrics and provide regular reports on progress
- Identify potential risks or issues that may arise during the implementation of process improvements and develop contingency plans
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology related to chemical engineering processes

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in chemical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in process optimization and improving efficiency
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as MATLAB or Minitab is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
