Librarian - Full Time (No English Required) - Khawr Fakkan, UAE



We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Khawr Fakkan, UAE. This is a full-time position, perfect for someone who is passionate about books and has excellent organizational skills. Fluency in English is not required for this role.

As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library resources, ensuring that they are organized and easily accessible to our patrons. You will also be responsible for assisting patrons with their research needs and providing recommendations for books and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the library
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date catalog of all library resources
- Assist patrons with locating materials and conducting research
- Provide recommendations for books and other materials based on patron interests
- Manage the circulation of library materials, including checking in/out items, collecting fines, etc.
- Create engaging displays to promote new or relevant materials
- Plan and execute library events and programs to engage the community
- Collaborate with schools and organizations to promote literacy and library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Fluent in Malayalam (preferred) or any other African language
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of computer systems used in libraries
- Passion for books and promoting literacy
