Livestock Specialist
Our company is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Livestock Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As a Livestock Specialist, your main responsibility will be to oversee the health and well-being of our livestock animals. We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with various types of livestock and is passionate about animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health and behavior of livestock animals on a daily basis.
- Provide proper nutrition and care for all animals under your supervision.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of each animal's health, breeding, and production.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the livestock area.
- Identify any potential health issues or diseases and take appropriate action to prevent or treat them.
- Train and supervise other staff members on proper handling and care of livestock animals.
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with various types of livestock.
- Knowledgeable about animal behavior, nutrition, breeding, and disease prevention.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Attention to detail with strong record keeping skills.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working with livestock in the UAE region would be an asset.
