Livestock Specialist


We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Livestock Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the care and well-being of our livestock animals.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the health and welfare of all livestock on the farm.
- Develop and implement herd health protocols to ensure the animals are in optimal condition.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure proper feeding, housing, and handling of livestock.
- Conduct regular check-ups on animals and provide necessary medical treatment when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, reproduction, and production.
- Oversee breeding programs and assist with birthing procedures.
- Monitor feed inventory and make recommendations for feed purchases based on herd size and nutritional needs.
- Implement biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases within the herd.
- Train and supervise farm workers in proper animal care techniques.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to animal welfare.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience working with livestock is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English as this is an English-speaking job.
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry practices, including nutrition, breeding, disease prevention, and biosecurity measures.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Contract Details:
This is a contract job with an initial duration of 1 year. The contract may be extended based on performance. This is an ideal opportunity for someone without previous experience who is looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of livestock management.
