Librarian (Indian Nationals Only)


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our library team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will be an Indian national with a passion for books and knowledge, and a strong understanding of library operations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the organization, maintenance, and circulation of library materials
- Ensure accurate cataloging and labeling of all library items
- Assist patrons with reference inquiries and information searches
- Plan and execute library programs and events to promote literacy and learning
- Collaborate with faculty to support curriculum needs and integrate library resources into classroom instruction
- Train and supervise library assistants and volunteers
- Develop and maintain relationships with publishers, vendors, and other libraries for resource sharing opportunities
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship and implement new technologies or initiatives to improve services

Requirements:
- Indian nationality is a strict requirement for this role
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, classification systems, reference tools, and information search techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs and basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently

This is a full-time position that requires working 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary package including benefits such as health insurance, annual leave, travel allowance, etc.
