Librarian Assistant


Our library in Al-Kuwait is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about books, information, and serving the community.

As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the librarian in organizing, maintaining, and managing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials. You will also provide support to library patrons by helping them find resources and providing information about library services.

This position is open to both Indian and Egyptian nationals who have a passion for books and a strong desire to learn more about the library profession. No prior experience is required for this role, making it an ideal opportunity for students or individuals looking to gain experience in a library setting.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in cataloging new materials and keeping existing records up to date
- Help maintain the organization of the library's physical space by shelving books and keeping shelves tidy
- Provide assistance to patrons in finding resources and using library technology
- Answer inquiries at the circulation desk and assist with check-out/check-in processes
- Assist with planning and executing library programs and events
- Help create displays and promotional materials to showcase new books or collections
- Maintain statistics on library usage and prepare reports as needed

Requirements:
- Must be an Indian or Egyptian national with a valid work visa for Kuwait
- Basic knowledge of library principles, procedures, resources, and services preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Conditions:
